For the term 2 holidays I will be going to California. Me and my dad are already here but my mom and brother are still in Australia. While we are in California I am going to be doing a Stanford basketball camp. It is only our first full day here so we are not doing that much but we are doing some things. The things we are doing today are going to the google office so that my dad can work. I am also doing horse riding after that my awesome babysitter Blanca is taking me to the shops so that I can get some supplies for basketball camp. After she might take me for a swim because it is very hot.

The Best Lunch Ever
On Thursday week six we had a lunchtime literature festival it was so much fun. My favourite part of the festival was playing games and making a bookmark. The fun things that you can do included are making a bookmark, emoji book summaries, guess the author, treasure hunt, guess the number of pages, lucky dip, colouring in,buying a book, specky McGee, and badge making.
Something interesting I learned from Mark Wilson’s presentation was that he was a soldier in the army. I also learned that’s he is passionate about animals and keeping them safe. Mark Wilson also puts more words in his books than he is aloud to. When he puts more words in his books it is like he is sneaking them in because Mark puts letters in his picture books. The letters have a lot of information than the actual book. One book that I actually read was Never Lose Hope The story of Australia’s first school.
The Year 5 Market
A couple weeks ago we had a year 5 market. The Year 5 market was all about raising money for the James Macready-Bryan foundation. The Year 5 market was a fun and exciting exeriance. Our group name was Creative 101. We raised $414.00 in total.

Which one have you read and why did you read it? If you haven’t read a Mark Wilson book wich activity/s would you do?
Reading with my buddies
Today in house my buddies Tilly and Indy read a book with me. We read Pajama Time! It was book about different animals getting ready for bed and it also talks about different kinds of pajamas. This book was a bit like a poem. We think it is a poem because it rhymes a bit and when you read it with expression, it sounds like one.
The Best Market Ever
This term we are doing a year 5 market. My groups stall name is creative 101. We have mostly been working on this during integrated and literacy? We are working on persuasive writing so we can persuade people to come. Would you come to the year 5 market? If you came to our market stall what product would you buy?
