Short Listed and Information Books

In library we read some short listed books. A few things that make a good information book is realistic pictures that you took because if you didn’t take the photo it’s copyright, clear and good information, and a part that list the sources that you used to find the information. My favourite short listed book was Make Believe. I liked this book because all the optical illusions make you really think. The author makes the pictures real and authentic. He also draws them 3D. I can’t even draw a 3D M.

The Best Lunch Ever

On Thursday week six we had a lunchtime literature festival it was so much fun. My  favourite part of the festival was playing games and making a bookmark. The fun things that you can do included are making a bookmark, emoji book summaries, guess the author, treasure hunt, guess the number of pages, lucky dip, colouring in,buying a book, specky McGee, and badge making.

Something interesting I learned from Mark Wilson’s presentation was that he was a soldier in the army. I also learned that’s he is passionate about animals and keeping them safe. Mark Wilson also puts more words in his books than he is aloud to. When he puts more words in his books it is like he is sneaking  them in because Mark puts letters in his picture books. The letters have a lot of information than the actual book. One book that I actually read was Never Lose Hope The story of Australia’s first school.

Which one have you read and why did you read it? If you haven’t read a Mark Wilson book wich activity/s would you do?

A amazing start to library

My favourite genre is graphic novels. I like graphic novels because I can see pictures of the characters and really understand the setting.

My favourite book chat book that we have read so far is The One and Only Ivan. I like it because their are a lot of different emotions and it really sinks into your emotions and you can really  feel how the characters feel.

What I love about the Evans Library is that there are to many books to read and they are all amazing books. My favourite book to read at library is the Hilda series.
